A ridge at sunset rising above a sea of clouds

The slow
way up.

About

I walk up slowly and photograph what stays still.

A roll of medium format holds twelve frames. That number keeps me honest — film doesn’t allow indecision, and neither does weather at three thousand metres.

Every photograph on this page was developed by hand in a darkroom that smells of fixer and pine. What you watched resolve as you scrolled is how each one first appeared to me, in the tray, under the red light.
